Love to hear other's story. First bought from memory in the late 80's or early 90's . Used to subscribe to Huntley's Your Money Weekly and MIK was one of his hot tips based on their current secure tags - forget the name, but probably had 20G @ 20 cents. What a journey since then what with the bank notes saga et al. My biggest regret - one year there was a special meeting complete with conference calls to the US, etc all just to fill us in on all the exciting things happening. The Co had no money and had called a special meeting just a few months before an AGM. Why, I thought, didn't they wait until then to update us. A week or so later it became clear, a few squillion options were requested and handed out to the execs. Opts which we happily agreed to because of all that we had heard at the meeting. I said at the time, something is going on here; the timing is just too precise here - I should just buy a few mill of these. I didn't but did top up by quite a few. Anyway, they started going up; all the way to 80 odd and I remember it was one of the most exciting times of my investing life. But it all faded rather quickly and I didn't sell any - doh! And still here.![]()
