It looks like most of you have no clue of what this tragedy caused to Brazil's environment. $50B is nothing compared to the damage this has caused or the size of Brazsil's economy (GDP of 2.3 trillion USD).

It is just a limited idea because now the "mud" reached the ocean killing 1,000s ecosystems in its way.
Some people mentioned the money from this lawsuit will go to corrupt Brazilian politicians.. You are wrong again. Corrupt politicians were the ones responsible for this and they were trying to hide their mistakes at all costs. They were the ones who offered the first ridiculous deal.
This lawsuit is being moved by independent public prosecutors against the government's will but with strong support from the population.
I believe it will be a long and costly battle, so be prepared.
