    When you see/perceive a tree, do you need to believe the tree is there or can you confirm that the tree is there regardless of belief?
    You may ''believe'' that the tree is not there, yet the tree that is in fact in front of you resists your efforts to walk through its trunk regardless of what you happen to believe.
