Tend to agree if Elliot can get his shit together, longer term things look more positive. Suspect the remainder of the year will remain negative with further restructuring costs as they unwind the Asian retail business coupled with further loan losses as result of commodity/EM exposure. SP to hit $20-21, buy in and hopefully the clean out will conclude this year & upward trajectory back to +$30 thereafter. In hindsight Mike Smith was an egotistical narcissist wanting to emanate HSBC. By all accounts the Asian strategy was all about revenue with scant regards for cost & NPAT, not to mention the absolute numnuts running the joint. Joyce Philips (who could not distinguish between a unit trust and a bond) her American 'hillbilly' whipping boy running Asia.
