Opening your nasal passage,doesnt mean your mouth stays closed.Have these guys actually got a sleep specialist on the board,or advising them,because that statement is false.
I've been using a cpap mask for nearly 9 years,and it works great.I take the machine in every 6 months and they remove the computer chip thingy and put it in a computer,and it gives an exact read out of what has been going on.I recently had a mouth splint made,and the results during my sleep study with it were terrible.Although happy with my cpap mask,I thought if I could use something whilst travelling,which didnt need power would be great,especially if camping..Now when you have a sleep test,they can tell whether you sleep with your mouth open or not.I sleep with my mouth closed,so I only need the cpap which covers my nose,and therefore as my mouth is closed,all the air is getting pumped down my throat.If you sleep with your mouth open,then your cpap mask has to cover your nose and mouth.I've discussed alot of issues with my sleep specialist,and opening your nostrils,doesnt make your mouth close,if you sleep with your mouth open .Not saying the product doesnt help snoring,as obviously it has in some people,and opening the nostrils will help you breathe better,but it doesnt make you close your mouth.
