re: breakout montec mydog, the reason i dont put a stop where you suggest is because this is a very short term trade for me...only holding while it keeps going up with momentum...a stop at 39.5 would turn this winning trade into a losing one...not part of my plan at all. :-)

if SEN keeps going up, I'll add some longer term trades... these will have more generous stops...but 39.5 looks like a point where many would put their stops, so that level may not be wise at all either.

short term i trade swings with momentum
longer term i trade the main money making part of an elliot wave, and I'd expect to hold that for many months if I get in.
