Holocaust revisionism IS NOT a legitimate exercise.
Imagine a set of historians who set about to debunk the "myth" of say the US treatment of the American Indians. They set out to say it didnt happen as the facts would suggest and that the Indians were never killed in the #'s that the facts support and that their lands were NEVER taken from them under the auspices of Manifest Destiny as the facts suggest.
Would that be a legitimate exercise??
Maybe to you but to very few people.
And I often seek outside reference to guage the position I hold in many areas.
I use a simple test - if I were to ask say, 100 people at random walking down the streeet, a question that clarified the issue - would they agree with me or with you?
If I can honestly say the vast, vast majority would agree with me I feel much better about my position!
In this...... I apply the same test - and I feel comfortable with the outcome.
In the matter of the Oz experience - the very facts are still in dispute. Until we find out what the facts are then enquiry is indeed a legitimate process.
