It didn't sound like a guidance upgrade to me, at least for the current F/Y. Sure the consumer lending is up but with that comes the upfront amortisation which will hold us back on the bottom line somewhat.
Break even in the US market seems to have slipped. Hadn't they previously said it was to be at break even this F/Y?
The dramatic increase in PDL purchases will help when collections start to ramp up on those although I hope we eventually find out how many are the US purchases and how many are the local "attractive one off purchases".
Overall the update was pretty positive and gives me a bit more confidence going into FY17
