You want the 'Social Problem" that particularly effects the East Africa Super Pits SYR and MNS? It's the Roads. How 3rd World they are. See they run thru villages that are built right up to the verges. Their Truck Drivers, well are like truck drivers everywhere and have a time schedule and attitude. No speed cameras and no real mechanical inspection standards but the standard get up and go ey is all over their truckers too.

Anyhow robbo the social problem is Villagers as Road Kill especially sad amongst the kiddies. All that has to happen is for them to toddle outside their front door and they're on the road.
Now MNS had a report by I think Cannaccord on this "infrastructure problem". It highlighted that their district was also a significant cashew farming area that also put many trucks on their roads. MNS is also [I think} a year round Graphite Operation proposing trucking of 240kts bagged graphite a year. How many truck loads a day that is, I don't know.
Thing one WOULD want to know is how many Villages does a Graphite Haul Truck go thru on it's way to Port? and of course that Port is also used for Cashew nut Export? and so will the Graphite Trucks add on tip the infrastructure balance for trucking into chaos?

Also only proposing 50/80kts not 240kts so ergo less trucks hauling. Also they're going Rail perhaps? How many villages between them and rail head?
Think it's dirt/graded roads thru Villages that's the problem but doubt a east africa highway has much similarity to an autoban or M1. Probably more like the old Pacific Highway in Qld.north of the Noosa Turnoff to Gympie. or the Old Marlborough stretch outta Rockhampton.

Anyway it's the Road Infrastructure the Super Pits more than the Boutiques have a problem with sheerly because of the number of trucks put on the roads. They kill Kiddies!!
