Malcy's news, courtesy of rr1 (thanks for sharing), is massive on several counts:

Whichever of these is correct, this is surely the first sign that true value add might be close. Cath and Nic have promised to reveal tomorrow how they plan to add significant value in coming months. We wait with bated breath ... and poised pen!

Royrogers interpretation is correct IMHO .. Malcy implied that the JV would "make out" = "sell out" of Senegal sooner rather than later because of the interest from majors.

How do you read it that our board considered and rejected the offer? What Malcy said could have been refering only to COP's equity in the JV (that's how I read it) as he was talking about COP exiting Senegal once they maximise value. The offer may have only been for COP's 35%??
