Sorry B. Ill leave that to the Chartists. They have advanced skills and tools/resorces well beyond what I can offer.

The point of my post to holders is basically hope for the best BUT plan for the worst.

I am fond of BHP but my exit coincided with this suit. It was the announcement that flipped my otherwise bullish outlook. I was fully aware of the state deal and had anticipated a State level class/individual civil action/s anticipating a lower than the enviromental State action quantum of damages than that agreed for the enviromental action. Was guessing around a billion at that time te civil state action.

Above view changed the second I saw the Fed action.

Now...that means further problems... to which I have no answers but I think need exploring by those genuinely concerned. I pose them as questions:

1 Action by shareholders in USA against BHP for negligence? Query what about LSE, ASX shareholders?

2 State Level ( remember 2 States affected):
Envromental deal 5 bill? Is it a done deal or can Fed Courts overule? Presume Fed Crts can. Fed prosecution strategy to block State deal? Appeal to Fed Crt if State ratifies agreement? Interim injunctive relief in current Federal suit? Other interim prcedural declatory orders contained in current suit?
Civil class or individual actions by persons directly affected against all parties miners and the States possibly even the Fed Government. Consider apportiontment of liability against all defendant parties?
3 Federal level 44 billion action against 3 Companies 2 States. Consider appotionment of liability.
    4. Actions as between current defendant parties and aportionment of liabiloty. Nothing on this potential issue as yet...but.. very real possibility.
To me these are the basics. God knows what more more creative claims might arise. Which of the above scenarios will be subsumed within the 44 bill claim?
    5. The information that has generously been posted above tegarding Brazilian political corruption...Federal prosecutors role and agenda as corruption champion...political pressure by a populace that is naying for blood over political corruption and wealth stripping of the lower and middle classes ie inequitable wealth distribution...I mean we're all slowly working that one out aren't we...even here in the lucky country. Wonder if Turnbull and Shorten are having a little White Sturgeon Caviar over dinner tonight...surely they'd have the right connections to get a kilo or two over through Persia now that the sanctions are down? Or maybe Gillard had first order in?

    Gets complicated doesn't it?

Thats why I posted...just want investors to properly consider their positions with their own carefully considered research. Nothing more nothing less. Risk mitigation.

HOPE FOR THE BEST PLAN FOR THE WORST.

    Cheers and again GLTAH
