Australia's Jubilee Mines Can't Explain Share Price Gain Tuesday September 5th, 2006 / 11h32
SYDNEY -(Dow Jones)- In response to a stock exchange query, Jubilee Mines NL. (JBM.AU) Tuesday said it can't explain its surging share price. Jubilee Mines ended with a 5.8% gain to A$9.83, despite a 3.2% fall in the nickel price overnight. The Australian Stock Exchange asked if it had any information that could explain its rise from a Monday low of A$8.92. A senior trader told Dow Jones Newswires that speculation Jubilee Mines could become a takeover target is underpinning the stock price. -Edited by Ian Pemberton
