Let me ask you some questions. Are you a child? If not why do you need to be ruled to the point of being told what you can or can not put in your own body? Don't you trust yourself? Think about this......Why are you not a heroin addict???? Is it because heroin is illegal? If heroin was legal would you then decide to consume heroin and become an addict? If so why? If not then whats the benefit of it being illegal? The fact that it is illegal does nothing but create a war? Cartels don't care if it is illegal or not. They love that it is illegal. If it wasn't they couldn't make any money. They wouldn't have any power. None. No need to smuggle anything. No need to buy guns. No need to build submarines and fastboats. No need to murder informants. No need to kill anyone. Portugal have proven what many studies already understood. If all drugs are legal and controlled, many many problems are immediately solved. It solves problem without creating new ones. Go look at the facts. The debate is done. Before Portugal it was open for debate. Not anymore.

Look at what Portugal did.............................. All drugs legalized. Dealing, smuggling etc still illegal. Withing only a few years they had halved the number of hard drug users. Half. They have the lowest death rate in the world from illegal drugs. They are rehabilitating people in record numbers and getting them back to work. Using the money they used to use to prosecute those same people. In Portugal you can't be a criminal for simply consuming a drug. In order to be a criminal you actually have to do something to hurt someone else or create a victim. If you steal something while on drugs you are a criminal. If you beat someone while on drugs you are a criminal. If you watch the latest episode of Game of Thrones while smoking a spliff you are NOT a criminal. Pretty simple really. Overcrowding prisons is another problem helped. More room for what prison was designed for; the worst of the worst.

E.g. I choose to smoke marijuana weather it is legal or not based on the fact that i am an adult and i want to smoke it because i enjoy the taste and the affect. I would prefer wind down with a spliff after work where others have a glass of wine or a beer.
I also as an adult choose not to consume cocaine because i don't like it. Nothing to do with the legalities.
Same with heroin. Nothing to do with the legalities.
Same with every drug. Nothing to do with the legalities.

The war on drugs is a modern failed experiment which leads to an entire economy of weapons and murder. We arm armies to prevent drugs coming into our countries. In turn the cartels arm armies to ensure the product arrives. It escalates and escalates until we're in full blown war with innocent people suffering the most. We create an arms economy. Guns to the soldiers. Guns to the cartels.
We cause innocent people to be caught up and used as mules to smuggle these newly illegal (less than 100 years) products.
