    Now - my point is -

    if we knew that one or both of those companies did actually have strong returns in the future years -(a golden fairy came to us in our dreams)

    but, we didn't know the exact shareprice fluctuations --------- (all the fairy said was that the stocks were going to be very strong)

    then -

    when would we have bought?
