There were 15 or so supporters there for the plucky fishermen, and they refused to stand for the judge because she was a woman. The female ABC reporter said it was for "religious reasons" - no mention of what those religious reasons were.

Why not spend 5 minutes discussing Islam's attitude to women, we've days worth of discussions about "Abbott's Problem with Women". Its was because Islam regard women as 2nd class citizens who should be either locked in the house or dressed in a tent if they go outside. A woman's testimony is worth 1/2 that of a man. That these poor men should appear before a female judge would have enraged them.

Good for the judge, she refused bail and remanded them in custody until September. So plenty of time to hangout with other Jihadists and plan more multicultural social events for the Australian public.

judging by the number of TU's you get Redrcok, the ALA may have a very good chance of getting a Senate seat or three. That is, if HC is any litmus test of the feeling across the spectrum
