As we know, Phase 1 trials are largely about safety - not effectiveness. Furthermore, Cantrixil will most likely be used as a monotherapy against some very late stage cancers. My understanding is that its most effective in combination with other chemotherapies. That's not to say that some promising scientific data won't be forthcoming. It's just that Phase 2 is where it will most likely have the opportunity to demonstrate the kind of potential that has come to light in the pre-clinical studies thus far.

And of course, that goes for Anisina and Trilexium as well.

So for me, the debate about the Jacob Hope program - and thanks for your input Moose - is not so much about its potential in general but to maintain market and investment interest in the company should its Phase 1 trials end a little less spectacularly than hoped. I appreciate what Chook had to say but I really feel that Jacob Hope could have been a real value driver in the short to medium term until the core technologies find their mark.

So we may miss the boat of the promised cash grants or whatever the benefits might be. If it all eventuates, one would hope that this wasn't the case of course.

You appear to have blocked him but FYI Hermann couldn't move fast enough to establish that his German ancestry started and ended aeons before the Nazis. Just wanted to bring you up to speed on that one. Well we can take him for his word I suppose and who could really blame anyone for wanting to distance themselves - as best they could anyway - from a race that supported a military which history shows was hell bent on a program of among other things burning and gassing innocent children.

Oh God Moose! Now I've used the dreaded word program. Next I'll be told that there never was a 'program' to exterminate Jewish children.
