    I wouldn't call this a merger on the wording in the announces.

    the west is reporting it as a take over

    Galaxy Resources looks set to be making a bid for General Mining, its joint venture partner in the Mt Cattlin spodumene project.

    I wouldn't be surprised if it was price negative for GXY
