You hedge if you are a long term bull and I use the term in the context of at least a daily and most likely a weekly chart or else the term loses its meaning. A LT bull understand they may be corrections along the way but the trend will keep him from being shaken out. If you bottom pick as in gold's case on the weekly/daily, I hardly call that trend investing would you? More like playing a swing and that is it. Just trying to correct terms of reference or else a trader using a 4h chart might then just refer to the trend as collapsed.
There is nothing wrong by being wrong and I have said it many times despite my bias regardless how and where I inherited it has no bearing of price in the future. I will manage position accordingly, that is the limitations of my fate.
