Hey Moggs, after they finish demolishing the Civic Centre they are going to dig a pit 6 metres deep. The problem is trying to keep it from filling up with ground water. Not too hard to dig a hole in Cairns that will naturally fill up with water. The wet stuff is everywhere here!
Looks like Northern Sands are already on to it, disposal of mud and slurry. Heard they will be taking asbestos waste as well soon since the current site has reached capacity.
