"Kibaran notes that it delivered a Company presentation to more than 600 investors at the Resources Rising Stars Conference on the Gold Coast last week. In that presentation, which was lodged on the ASX platform, Kibaran stated that it is preparing to finalise a binding sales contract with Japanese commodity trader Sojitz Corporation.
The contract would see Kibaran supply graphite from its Epanko project in Tanzania to Sojitz, which in turn supplies graphite to leading lithium-ion battery makers Panasonic and LG Chem.
Kibaran notes that Panasonic was cited in an article in today’s edition of the Australian Financial Review newspaper as being the battery partner of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors"
