That comment was drawn from a breezy but not atypical bit of promo by the spin doctors. AFAIK there is little to no lithium refining capacity in Europe. So concentrate off to China and then product back again for VW and Daimlers to do something with it.
Anyway, I'm running a theory that the lithium bubble popped the week before last. DKO market response today and a few others are providing possible confirmation of such.
