I don't believe that the attacks involved the deliberate work of any US agents as some of the conspiracy theories postulate. However I do believe that information received by US agencies in the mid 90's regarding planning for airborne terrorist attacks on US soil was not acted upon. Whether or not this information was deliberately suppressed, or through incompetence or apathy, was simply not taken seriously, is the area which any conspiracy theorists should be analysing.
