My guess as well as that little statement covers their continuous disclosure requirements to avoid at this stage having to disclose a bid has been tabled for the XPED. As always said XPED unlikely to exist in a few months at the rapid rate they are move and proof of concept of their technology with successful porting etc onto Intel Gateway.
As Intel is not stupid as if you look at nearly all the acquisitions they have made them for early stage technology companies to ensure they buy at a good price.
