Stocktraderman, appreciate your enthusiasm for ATC, but seanna has it right - ATC will not be a lithium producer, it has a kaolin clay deposit from which it will make high purity alumina (HPA), and it has signed an offtake agreement with Mitsubishi to take 100% of its HPA production for the 1st 10 years of production from its proposed Malaysian plant.
To be clear, the reason why the HPA application into Li batteries is so exciting amd positive for ATC is that this application will massively increase the global demand for HPA driving up the commodity price for HPA. ATC can only produce so much HPA from its plant so sales volume wont increase but the price Mitsubishi will pay through the offtake agreement is surely linked to the commodity price so the margin will increase and hence the project's NPV will improve - significantly.
