You cant do it yourself and that is the point. It is restricted to brokers and similar associates who are usually ASX members. They don't pay brokerage on each transaction. Actually you can trade parcels less than $500 but you must hold the stock to sell under that value. You can buy more stock if you hold the one you are buying and order small lots BUT each one costs a full brokerage fee.
