Take a step back and think of what we learned from today's ANN. We have and idea which is not yet commercialised. Intel the biggest in the game are close to adopting it as a part of their gateway. This isn't done on a whim they would have had their boffins run the fine tooth comb over it Those boffins would have told Intel this tech has legs and is worth incorporating. For a company like Intel to adopt this tech it must be seen as a worthwhile venture. There must be an expectation of wide adoption and acceptance. If that doesn't say it all what does?
