So race can be identified as "physical characteristics" or "acquired genes". For example, if my parents had a certain skin tone, then genetically I would be predisposed to having the same tone. However, when we talk about culture, those are the beliefs and understands people can't necessarily see (culture is the single most important feature of a person) - the ice berg theory is a perfect representation of this.
Simply put "race" is based on physical appearance while "culture" is based on beliefs and values.
ISIS is waging war on cultural differences, because of religious beliefs, not because of the fact someone looks different. I mean most Middle Eastern people look the same.
Now your post implies that culture is made up of multiple races and that is totally correct, but at the moment are all these far right parties distinguishing between certain racial characteristics when calling for the expulsion of Muslims? We both can agree Muslims are not a race correct? To be Muslim you have a certain set of beliefs, values and practices such as Ramdan. Do you agree certain people hate Muslims?
I mean the great George Bush JNR when trying to put the war against Iraq and Afghanistan into context, proclaimed that Muslims were incapable of developing these culturally superior ways of life on their own and so we must mold and train them to be more like us, the civilised people. Now tell me how that is not intolerance of another culture.
If you want to experience cultural racism for yourself, dress in a burka and stand in the middle of a shopping centre and see what happens.
