If you are only ever talking about the original NBN roll-out why comment on a thread solely discussing Bill Shorten's announcement today? Off-topic much?

Do you understand that taxpayers are funding the full NBN capex bill and the associated debt drawdowns that requires?

Do you understand if those people who want faster FTTP connections fund that cost themselves (to convert an FTTN connection to a FTTP connection) it boosts the return on investment for the NBN (because they likely use more data (incurring more data charges) and those consumers have fully funded the additional NBN capex costs themselves)? The original NBN FTTP connection cost was heavily subsidised by taxpayer money and debt for the consumer.
