POO has to be at least US$70 before the operator will even think about it.
If you think US$40 is the green light think again.
Who would commit to that POO?
That's why no matter how big this field is the outlay to get first oil must have a guaranteed long term oil price.
And that's why FAR is getting hammered.
More money to outlay with no guarantees it will be developed any time soon.
Makes sense surely?
Who in their right might will commit to this massively expensive outlay when POO might be where it is in years to come?
At the moment you can say its a stranded asset.
