What concerns me is that the Russian scientist has no affiliation with a University of Private company. Battery research requires significant research facilities, generally those found at universities or major corporations. Without these facilities you just cannot develop any technology of any consequence.
Furthermore, it's not a simple case of thinking up a recipe for a new battery and patenting it. There isn't even a prototype built. Batteries are notoriously difficult to find the sweet spot between factors such as cycling, capacity, discharge rate etc. fine tuning all this take time, years in most cases.
Most of you on here a seeing the buzz words in the announcement without even knowing the basics of is involved in commercialising this sort of tech.
