Well spoken, thanks yak. I'm sorry you've had personal experience with this, losing friends & associates. Terrible stuff.

Though when you say

I have one comment. That is, my experience has shown that suicidal people DON'T WANT help or therapy. They just want to check out. Permanently.

One possibility is that those folks who do in fact seek help are not truly suicidal - even though they may think they are - as if they were, why would they want to be stopped?

The bottom line is that genuine suicide is a personal decision not taken lightly but when once taken, is kept strictly confidential until the appropriate time & place arrives. No help, counselling or outside interference is either sought nor wanted. End of story. Literally.
