That jobs announcement was pretty much a flop - assistance limited to businesses with revenue of $2m or less who, with that level of turnover, likely wouldn't be employing many people at all - let alone full time staff.
The policy might have made more sense if the threshold were at a higher level, say, $10m or less turnover. However, by adopting a ridiculously low revenue threshold definition of SMEs at $2m earlier in the campaign to combat the LNP's business tax cut proposal, they couldn't have picked a higher threshold without being accused of being hypocrites by the LNP.
Boxed themselves into a dud policy if you ask me.
