By detailed gravity mapping and strategic drilling, the previous joint venturers (Pasminco etc) were able to trace the prospective Tertiary gold horizon and stratigraphic zone of interest around the Benagerie Dome for many kilometres.

This resulted in discovery of several other promising gold occurrences along strike from Portia (e.g. Lorenzo) but proper evaluation was invariably plagued by inconsistent and unrepeatable gold assay results.

Lorenzo is located approximately 1 kilometre due south of Portia and has a high potential for future exploitation. This current drilling, to test the southern extension may, be related to working out if Lorenzo should be next.

IMLTHO, the Lorenzo prospect is one that should be fast tracked/further drilling to take place after North Portia given the synergies and to take advantage of the considerable investment in mining and site infrastructure already put in place at Portia by Consolidated Mining & Civil (CMC)!!

My understanding is Lorenzo is within the Mining Lease for Portia, as is North Portia.

Lorenzo is a copper-gold prospect, with zinc thrown in for good measure.

"Lorenzo - The lateral southern extensions of the Portia gold zone extends into this area, with some ore grade gold drill intercepts never followed up. The is also some historic drilling evidence also here of zinc mineralization with up to 10m at 2% zinc laying adjacent to the gold zone."

"Lorenzo : 39m of 0.5% Zn and 23m of 0.9% Zn."
