    G'day,

Personally, judging pretty much on last nights performance I don't like him. However, he should not be tried on whether anyone likes him or not. He should be tried purely and simply on what he was charged with - insider trading on Qantas. His sentence definately should not have been affected by the fact that he showed a lack of respect to the judge - the judge should be able to put his own persona aside and stand above that.

I have my doubts about the outcome. Yes Ridge he did from his own mouth pretty well admit that he had the "inside info". However, having inside info is not a crime, acting on it is. I am sure that he also said that it was not him that initiated the trade.
