What I can perceive is that there are 4 possibilities:
1. the three resigned have done something wrong, for example misleading the news
2. Joe did something wrong, and argued with the three resigned.
3. The three resigned feel no hope on XTV
4. Joe found the three resigned have previously involved with unethical trading.
Therefore, we still have some hope. Do not make a conclusion at this point.
