the silent majority was polled this week and the silent majority showed unequivocally in that polling that if Abbott hadn't been replaced, Shorten would be PM next week.
I think the silent majority is glad Abbott is gone. It's a vocal minority that still cling to the Abbott led dream. Maybe they will be a silent minority next week, I hope so.

An exclusive Galaxy poll commissioned by The Sunday Telegraph has vindicated the Prime Minister’s decision to knife his predecessor.
It finds Labor leader Bill Shorten would have been elected as Prime Minister with a majority of 29 seats if Tony Abbott were still the leader.
