Can it? No evidence of that capability from the video, unlike the nixie vid. which showed it taking the selfie (on stage live, onto the big screen) and then automatically flying back to the hand that launched it.

"Remember it's the FIRST selfie stick to follow you in front of your face (no point taking a selfie of the back of your head!)"

It certainly didn't do that in the video. You could see it pointing away from the bloke it was supposed to be tethered to, and as Machiep points out, that FR sequence looks edited in. And who are Voltron? Everything we saw could have been done by remote control.
