However I don't see why how that precludes me from using logic to objectively analyse evidence in order to form an opinion that is not positive? Then again it seems that is against the unwritten by laws of Hot Copper! Reminds me of a cult, or maybe just religion, but thats another discussion...

Your never going to see proof, all you can look at is the evidence, its then up to you to form your own opinion about what you believe to be true. If you need definitive proof for everything in life before you will believe it, well I fell sorry for you...
