All the ATMs, POS, card management, payments, wallets, UPI, Common Mobility Card, Toll Collections and even BPPS all are connected to the National Financial Switch and that's why the TSI India's relationship with NPCI is so important. Refer to the 2nd last paragraph of the announcement from the other day below as well as the article I posted a while ago.
