    Jason, my heart
Jason, my heart bleeds for you but you are not alone and most of us in this forum have incurred losses and as for me I have kept my losses to myself and my wife is not aware. I do not think that all is lost as unfortunately we have been kept in the dark and no financial information has been disclosed to tell us how really bad the situation is or how good it is. While farm gate prices are being reduced, value added products at the retailers have not fallen. Hence if CDC is under utilised at this stage, I see this as an opportunity to capitalise by buying cheap raw milk and selling milk products and making a decent profit. I do not think that Murray Goulburn and Fonterra are good examples to benchmark with as they are probably not well managed and inefficient as opposed to a smaller player like AHF who with their new CEO who is well experienced, having all their farms a stones throw from each other and Laurel and Hardy holding to the purses like tight arses, we may have a pretty good outfit for success. I am sure they would be in negotiations with some farms who want to sell and may get a bargain in prices and couldalso negotiate with other farms for supplies to run CDC at full capacity. Not forgetting they also have the export market to sell their products. So lets give them another 6 months and then make assessments.
