Really, . ........ we all know the reality of Boards ticking-off pretty much what they are asked to by Chairs/CEOs. This is then presented to the EGM as a fait accompli and rarely, if (n)ever, get voted down (at any stage in the process). This would be a vote of no confidence in the board/CEO and you'd be reading about it in the newspapers.
I'm surprised to hear you suggesting this was anything other than being 'railroaded' through - like these matters always are.
Dom had the opportunity to walked away before Destra went belly up - obviously he could see it coming. Not like the other mug retailers who were left holding the empty bag.
