Paul Murray has a regular guest who is an ex Gillard staffer and is now a uni lecturer, Nick Reece. Nice enough sort of middle class intellectual.

He explained why university people are so terrified of a discussion on islam.

The reason.... their jobs will be at risk if the muslim students pack up and go elsewhere.

So middle class entitlement takes priority over the security of the nation.

Therein lies the problem for an ideology that refuses to discuss itself on pain of death.
