Hey Nihilsm, from what Simon said in his presentation the collission avoidance feature is definitely in. If an object is it's way it will stop and loiter. They're working on improving this feature for future updates so that it actually moves around the object in question. The cool thing about the device is that it's all firmware controlled. So future updates/feature upgrades etc will be a simple firmware update in the same way you update you iPhone.
