Dunno DaveR, I reckon Bill's just succeeded in ensuring the ALP do not win the next election. The amount of disgust being aired now over his outright lie and deceit of the electorate with his "Mediscare" campaign is increasing.
It is now well known and well publicised that Shorten made up the story of the Coalition selling off Medicare, that no one would buy a business that burned $13 Billion dollars a year along with the fact it is a safety net facility for the population.
I was listening to talk back today and many callers had opinions, but an increasing number of ALP supporters are disgusted at their own gullibility and also at Shorten's outright lying.
So how is it going to work for the ALP when at the next election they come out with some other reason to vote ALP after crying wolf this time around? Do you reckon people will listen...or will they take what ever the ALP are peddling with a grain of salt with the Coalition saying " don't listen to the ALP, they are just lying again".
Shorten is an idiot, the best thing that the ALP can do is dump him real fast and put some one else in so they can try and build some credibility once again before the next election.
Even then they may have damaged themselves so badly with their stupidity it may take another two or three elections to get back on the front foot...

Boatboy IMO the Coalition will perform so badly over the next three years, assuming they last that long, it will not matter who is leading the ALP because the LNP will hand it to them.
