Gold - the last man standing, page-25

Hey @aldo, nice work there. However, I'm looking at the argument from a less subjective standpoint. It's true, gold has some pretty awesome qualities but there's nothing overly unique about it, other than it's colour perhaps...

Sure, gold is pretty to look at ... but so is my wife!
And yes, gold has many uses ... and so does my wife!
Of course everyone wants gold ... just like everyone wants my wife!
Gold is a medium of exchange ... hmm well now, that's an interesting thought!!!

But you get my meaning? Who decided all those many thousands of years ago that such value would be given to gold?
