Given the downturn there should be some top quality PM's out there just itching to sink their teeth into a project like this. The few positives that I can see is the closeness to Port Hedland and the fact that the site is accessible via a bitumen road, therefore reducing the time required to transport equipment in. There should be quite a number of surplus tradies sitting round who would be able to jump easily into the construction phase and also being a surplus there should be quite a lot of competition to overall costs (benefit for cost savings) but also in timings, therefore in my opinion the construction may not be as long as historical construction projects due to the desire to produce results....IMO...
