Seem to have abandoned C-Pulse as being impossible at this stage to miniturise for fully implantable.
Some cost benefit analysis going on here???
Say a device 80% as effective as C-Pulse, 50% less costly because easier to implant minimally invasively, very safe because fully implantable, marketable because no chest crack, no exsternal leads. Much greater penetration of less sick patients.
Just what VAD companies need desperately, Can be tested initially on their cracked chest patients and integrated with their devices. Next stage funded by VAD cos??
