The Saudi ambassador to the UN heads a 5 member panel that appoints independent experts to various countries. He basically just chairs one sh!tty little sub committee within the UNHRC (not the HCR). It is a definitely a bad look, but it is nowhere near as dire as people seem to want to believe.
