    Spodumene is a tough nut to crack without roasting, but those who can and prove it on a commercial scale, will definitely reap the rewards. Hopefully this is LIT.

    I think the secret lies in the 'bespoke lixiviant'. I have done a little research and there is information available regarding the use of hydrofluoric acid for alpha spodumene destruction. In fact hydrofluoric acid is strong enough to destroy/ solubilise most silicates (including glass) hence why it is stored in plastic containers. In fact, hydrofluoric acid is one of the acids used to extract and analyse what is in these precious ores we invest in.

    The downside is the expensive and corrosive nature of this material and perhaps the reason LIT do not want to disclose just yet.
