1) WPL put out their announcement before open. I'm surprised they didn't warn FAR (their JV partner).
2) WPL has a MC of $23Bn (and the deal is worth $430m). Still material but FAR is currently pretty much valued entirely on its stake in Senegal so that transaction is much more significant to FAR.
Good to see the back of COP! Big plus in my book. Obviously, there is a lot going on (good things) that we don't know about. Unfortunately, it appears that there was a lot going on that FAR didn't know about either.
